Most persons held in custody on State or County criminal charges can be released upon the posting of an appearance bond. Appearance bonds can be posted 24 hours a day in the Jail Clerk’s Office located at the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center at 300 North Denver. A person who has been arrested for non-payment of costs and fines may be released before seeing a judge by paying the amount shown in the jail computer. Payment must be IN CASH and can be paid 24 hours a day in the Jail Clerk’s Office [David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center, 300 North Denver]. Payment can also be made at the Court Clerk’s Office [County Courthouse, 500 South Denver, Second Floor Criminal Division] between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. on days that the Courthouse is open.
A person who has been found guilty of non-payment and sentenced by the Court to lay out costs and fines may be released by paying the remaining balance of cost, after credit for time served is applied. Payment must be IN CASH and is paid at the Court Clerk’s Office [County Courthouse, 500 South Denver, Second Floor Criminal Division] between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. on days that the Courthouse is open.
